I love photographing small and intimate weddings, where I get to feel really welcomed into the fold. It really helps that I get some awesome couples to work with. Julie and Rob were so much fun, I had such a great day in sunny Winchester it hardly felt like work at all.
Julie and Rob flew in from the USA to get married in Rob’s hometown of Winchester with a small gathering of friends and family. I joined them getting ready at the South Winchester Lodges in the countryside, with Julie getting ready in a short vintage dress and petticoats, spiced up with shiny red heels and a birdcage veil. They travelled together to be married at Winchester Registry Office, in a sweet and smiley ceremony. We walked down to the Westgate for family photos before leaving the group to explore Winchester’s historic city centre. Julie and Rob gave me loads of time for photos and it was really fun and relaxed strolling around the Great Hall and gardens and down to the Cathedral and Cloisters on a beautiful summer’s day. We met everyone again for a champagne picnic in the park before everyone walked down to the Chesil Rectory for dinner.
