Romsey Wedding Photographer: Adriana & Liam’s Tearoom wedding
Adriana and Liam were married at Highfield Church in Southampton on a wet Saturday in February. It was a lovely personal service, with prayers, readings and musical accompaniment from their friends and family during the service. After they were married everyone had tea and cake in the church before heading off to Romsey for the reception at Annie’s Tearooms in Kimbridge. The quaint restaurant and teashop was a cosy setting for drinks and dinner, decorated with pretty bunting and teapot table centres. After the funny and teary speeches, the tables were cleared aside and they celebrated into the evening with a Ceilidh. Here are some photos from their day…

Karen & Rob’s Winter Wedding at Chilworth Manor

Hard to believe with the past weekend’s sunny weather, that only a month or so ago we were still in winter wedding season, with furry shrugs, mulled wine and skiing holidays to look forward to. Karen and Rob got married at St Boniface Church in Chandlers Ford, with their reception at Chilworth Manor near Southampton. Here’s a little showcase of their day. Katie & Dan’s snowy wedding at Hampton Court House, London
![]()
My first and last weddings of 2010 were at beautiful Hampton Court House on the outskirts of London. At the beginning of December the country was under a blanket of snow, and the dreary winter landscape was transformed into a gorgeous winter wonderland. The perfect setting then for Katie and Dan’s Christmas wedding. They got married at St Andrew’s Church in Ham with the reception at Hampton Court House. The snow seemed part of the festive styling of the wedding, with bridesmaids and bouquets in stunning bright red against the white dress and snow. The bride and groom travelled in a vintage white Rolls, with guests transported between sites London style, on a red routemaster bus. Katie & Dan were brave enough to get out in the snowy grounds, and also the rather bizarre shell lined grotto, for some photos before joining their friends and family for the reception. Warmed by log fires and lit by candles and fairy lights, as darkness fell it all felt rather festive and cosy. They had named their tables after the reindeers that pulled Santa’s sleigh, and later in the evening a fantastic ice sculpture of a sleigh was revealed. The numerous vodka shots that went down that vodka luge ensured the celebrations really got going and everyone partied into the night. Fun wedding, great way to round off the 2010 wedding season. Congrats Katie & Dan!

Trafalgar Park Wedding: Cat & Wayne’s wedding portraits
Two for the price of one today in the epic Christmas blogathon. In case you missed it, I am sharing photos from my friends Cat & Wayne’s beautiful autumn wedding at Trafalgar Park in Salisbury. We’ve already done preparations and the church ceremony and now for some portraits around the grounds and the stunning Cipriani room.
Now is a good time to say a big thanks to Tarah Coonan who assisted me at this wedding and took some brilliant photos. Reminded me I need to use my heavy 70-200mm lens more often.
Look out for the final installment of photos from the Reception at the weekend.

Nicola & Matt’s winter wedding at Athelhampton House, Dorset

Ready for something warm on this chilly winter’s evening? Here are some highlights from Nicola & Matt’s wedding at Athelhampton House in Dorset. With a 4pm ceremony in November this was one of my most challenging weddings yet, with only a hint of the setting sun as they exited the ceremony, much of the day was lit by candlelight, and oh so dark. But historic Athelhampton is a beautiful wedding venue for a winter wedding, with roaring fires heating the wood panelled grand hall, it has such a cosy feel.
Nicola got ready at The Old Manor in Kingston Maurward, I just loved her classic style, in the vintagey lace dress and faux fur stole. She carried a stunning bouquet of blue iris and thistles, to complement her bridesmaid’s blue dress. Matt looked dapper in top hat and morning suit. After the ceremony in Athelhampton’s Great Hall and a few photos before the light went completely, the bride and groom and guests warmed up with mulled wine before sitting down to eat a hearty dinner in the coach house, and celebrating into the evening to the band.
