West Wittering Beach Engagement photos: Lucy & Matt
There was actually one day this month when it wasn’t raining. This was the evening we went to beautiful West Wittering beach in West Sussex for Lucy & Matt’s pre-wedding portraits. I like a good location for photographing and the deserted sandy beach, colourful beach huts, dunes, blue sea and warm evening sunlight were perfect. Looking forward to Lucy and Matt’s Hillier Gardens wedding next week (more sun please!)

Suzie & Mark’s Brighton wedding at Hotel Du Vin

I like dates like 10.10.10. In fact when I got in the car that night and the clock said 10.10 on 10.10.10 I did a little high five (to myself, because I am sad like that) Anyway, Mark & Suzie chose to get married on 10.10.10 at super cool Hotel Du Vin in super cool Brighton. Hard to believe it was actually October, the sun was out and the whole city had hit the promenade. The ceremony and reception were held in the Dome at the Pub Du Vin, which is a gorgeous, big bright room at the back of Pub du Vin which you would never expect just off the seafront and the Brighton Lanes. The ceremony was fun and personal, they had asked their readers to surprise them and they came with some brilliant personal poems. Mark and Suzie live abroad working on the F1 circuit, but their wedding brought together cool touches of seaside England, from the cupcakes with iconic Brighton images, the bags of sweeties for favours, and the serving of ice creams and bacon sandwiches for the evening buffet. We never really expected to get down to the beach for their wedding photos, it was October after all, but it had turned out to be a perfect summer’s day, so Mark & Suzie braved the crowds for photos on the pebbles and a free ice cream. In the evening we had great fun with the Photobooth (pics to follow soon)
Congratulations Mark & Suzie! Here are some highlights from their day. The full gallery is online for friends and family here

Mark & Suzie: Engagement Photos on Brighton Beach
I love Brighton and it was brilliant to get down the coast and meet up with Mark and Suzie for their engagement photos on the beach and iconic Brighton pier. As a photographer I love the locations on offer in Brighton, from the funky lanes of quirky, alternative shops, interesting buildings and graffiti walls, the surreal pavilion and the beach and pier with the kitsch seaside feel. Suzie and Mark are getting married at the Hotel Du Vin in Brighton, a modern boutique hotel tucked away just off the famous seafront promenade. Think they did pretty well in front of the camera, we had a fun little stroll, and hoping we can get back down to the beach for their wedding photos in October.
Hayley & Ashley’s Wedding at Millstream Hotel, Bosham
Hayley & Ash held a small wedding at the charming Millstream Hotel in Bosham. I felt very welcome into the family gathering and had a lovely afternoon capturing their wedding celebrations. Hayley looked a beautiful bride, but I’m afraid her limelight was entirely stolen by the presence of Katy Perry. No actually not the singer, but their daughter who was a little angel and I spent a lot of time trying to get her to smile for the camera.
Here are some sneak previews of their wedding photographs. The full gallery is now online for friends and family, the password is the brides maiden name.

Jayne & Keith’s Wedding at Goodwood Park Hotel
I told my husband I was taking myself off to Goodwood and was hoping to meet a man with a Ferrari. I did, but unfortunately he was the groom so better luck next time! Jayne & Keith got married after about 20 years together, so if ever there was a marriage that looked like it was going to last, it was this one. They had a small family celebration at the Goodwood Park Hotel, another nod to Keith’s other love, cars. I think that saying goes ‘those who laugh together, last together’ or something- well these two should do fine as they laughed their way through the whole wedding.
Jayne & Keith, my very best wishes to you both.
