Seamus & Lucy’s wedding in Salisbury
Lucy and Shay got married at St Osmunds Church in Salisbury with their reception in a marquee at Lucy’s parents farm. Having the reception at home is a great idea if you can do it, giving total control over the food, entertainment, decorations etc without being bound by the rules and restrictions of a hotel or venue (except the rules of mum and dad obviously) Everyone had done a fabulous job of arranging everything, with Lucy’s mum even making the gorgeous pink floral arrangements and cupcake wedding cakes.
We were so incredibly lucky with the weather that day. After the ceremony the married couple exited to a sunny August day, and then just as we set foot inside the marquee the heavens opened and we thought that would be it. Luckily, we got some well timed breaks for family photos and bride and groom portraits before everyone settled down in the dry for the BBQ wedding breakfast. There were few dry eyes during the speeches, Shay’s sister, the best lady, did a brilliant job to deliver her speech. To kick the evening off guests got up on the dancefloor for some line dancing before partying to the disco into the early hours. The rain did mean one potential disappointment- the bouncy castle was out of action. However a determined few towelled it off and in the evening they got their go. Lucy has to be the most carefree bride ever, somersaulting on the bouncy castle, not worrying about the white dress and hair do. Love that attitude, weddings should be fun! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Lynch!

Sneak Peek: Welcome to a new Mrs Wass
Congratulations to my little brother-in-law Dave and commiserations to his new wife Marie who got married on Friday. A life of being called Mrs Wazz, Waff, Wasp, Vass, Waas, Was and Watts awaits you (by the way, if you ever wondered its Wass, rhymes with Moss)
Here’s a sneak preview from their wedding photos taken by some beach huts on Southsea seafront. Not your typical wedding photo but much more them I think. More on the website in a few weeks…

Rebecca & Steven’s Hampshire Wedding at Esseborne Manor
Rebecca & Steven (or do I call him Sam, I got completely confused!?) got married at St Mary’s church in Andover followed by a reception at Esseborne Manor. Rebecca looked like a fairy tale princess in an amazing dress of lace, ruffles, embroidery and brooches, in a gorgeous grey- blue colour. She had a whole troop of glamourous bridesmaids in black evening dresses, and pretty flower girls in white. The boys complimented the look, in black tuxedos.
It was only fitting Cinderella had a carriage, which her parents surprised her with as she left for the church. They married at St Mary’s in Andover, a church where many generations of Rebecca’s family have been wed, and were joined by family and friends from all over the country. After the ceremony they left for the reception at Esseborne in the horse and carriage. We planned to stop on the way for some photos in the fields which surround the country hotel. I love a good cornfield, and luckily we found one still accessible in a huge wedding dress. We did some romantic photos and then some waving-your-arms-around-like-an-idiot photos (their idea)
Then off to Esseborne, which was decorated in black and white, with tables named for favourite films. Its a lovely venue out in the Hampshire countryside, and everyone enjoyed drinks out on the lawn before sitting down to eat. During the speeches the families had made a slideshow of old photos of the happy couple, from childhood to their holidays together. I hope this set of wedding photos adds another set of memories- Congratulations Mr & Mrs Sandbach!

Portsmouth Wedding Photography: Lauren & Jason’s Wedding
Lauren & Jason got married at the very grand St Mary’s church in Portsmouth in July. They held their reception at Cosham Masonic Hall, which was beautifully decorated with candlesticks and pink and sage details. Lauren just did not stop smiling all day, which is great for a photographer as every time I turned around to take her photo she was laughing and smiling. It was a lovely day with a great bunch of people. Congratulations Lauren & Jason!

Sneak peek: Lucy and Shay’s Salisbury Wedding
I like to blog just one sneak preview from each wedding before I get down to editing and it couldn’t be anything but this one really. Any bride that does somersaults in her wedding dress on a wet bouncy castle needs some recognition.
Lucy and Shay, Congratulations!

Seona & Rob’s New Place Wedding photography
Seona and Rob got married at the DeVere New Place in Shirrell Heath back in July. Seona has an obvious love of pink which ran through the theme of the wedding. I thought she had restyled her whole house to coordinate with the wedding, there were already so many touches of pink and roses already! She wore a gorgeous Oyster coloured dress, with a bouquet of dusky pink roses and her bridesmaids in Lilac. The reception room was styled with candles, mirror plates and pink rose petals. The table names were made of photos from their parent’s and other family members weddings which was a lovely idea. Rob & Seona seem blissfully happy together and I wish them the very best of luck for the future!
