Portsmouth Wedding Photography: Lauren & Jason’s Wedding
Lauren & Jason got married at the very grand St Mary’s church in Portsmouth in July. They held their reception at Cosham Masonic Hall, which was beautifully decorated with candlesticks and pink and sage details. Lauren just did not stop smiling all day, which is great for a photographer as every time I turned around to take her photo she was laughing and smiling. It was a lovely day with a great bunch of people. Congratulations Lauren & Jason!

Lesley & Sam’s Wedding at Highcliffe Castle and Sopley Mill
Lesley and Sam got married at Highcliffe Castle, a gorgeous venue near Christchurch overlooking the sea. They had a unique wedding ceremony which was very personal to them. As guests found their seats they played some rather appropriate, but certainly not your usual wedding music, such as Eye of the Tiger and The Final Countdown to psyche everyone up for the big event. During the ceremony they had readings written by Dr Seuss and Edward Monkton (The Love dinosaurs), which were again not your usual wedding readings, but very appropriate.
After the wedding ceremony, the happy couple and I headed down the cliffs to the beach for some romantic photos by the sea. Highcliffe beach is a special place for Sam & Lesley as that is where he proposed to her. For me, this is where I shot my first wedding so it was kind of nice to me to go back and feel like I knew what I was doing this time! The weather wasn’t perfect, but I loved running around on the sandy beach barefoot. After hiking back up to the Castle for some photos by that huge doorway we rejoined the guests at Sopley Mill for a BBQ and celebrations.
It was definitely one of my favourite weddings with a very sweet and fun couple, lots of cool little touches and with lots of familiar faces from Nicky and Allan’s wedding last year, so I felt very welcome and really enjoyed the day. Here is a taster of their wedding photos. The full gallery is online for friends and family here.

Sneak Peek: Caroline & Graham’s Wedding at New Place
Bank holiday weekend, it was bound to rain wasn’t it. I thought we were going to be hidden indoors all day when I arrived in a downpour at New Place for Caroline and Graham’s wedding on Saturday. It was beginning to look really bad when there was no sign of the bride an hour after I had got there. There was a big white dress, so I decided to stick with it and hope someone arrived soon to claim it. (and what a gorgeous dress!) Caroline did make it with plenty of time to spare, the dress looking even more gorgeous on. She brought the fine (ish) weather with her and things all panned out rather well from there.
Here’s a little sneak peek from the day. More to follow in a few weeks when Caroline and Graham are back from their travels (so jealous)

Angela & Stephen’s Stanwell House Wedding
Angela and Stephen got married at Stanwell House in April. The Lymington hotel is a perfect setting for a smaller wedding, with funky boutique interiors, elegant dining and sunny gardens. After a relaxed morning Angela still managed to be a good 10 minutes late coming downstairs, but Stephen managed to hold his nerves. The beautiful ceremony was held in the conservatory, Angela was given away by her sister Amy (not a confusing day for me at all!) After the ceremony everyone enjoyed pimms in the garden before sitting down for some of that awesome Stanwell House food. Angela had the most gorgeous pink David Austin Roses in her bouquet and the single long table was laid with pink and cream roses and candlesticks. Angela and Stephen did their first dance to Jet ‘Are you going to be my girl’ so none of that embarrassed shuffling round the dancefloor to kick off the evenings disco. A fun, light hearted and relaxed day, I think exactly what they wanted, and I know I always say it, but great couple! Congratulations to you both x

Sneak Peek: Belinda & Paul’s Wedding at Rhinefield
Belinda and Paul proved that a wedding doesn’t have to be a big grand affair with hundreds of people and a big white dress! They had a beautiful intimate wedding in the New Forest and it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with them celebrating their marriage. They were so good to give me so much time for their photography, and we were so spoilt for nice spots at Rhinefield House. Belinda looked stunning in a amazing coloured purple dress, and the whole setting in the Moroccan Alhambra room was picture perfect. Cant wait to get these photos edited and will share more highlights in a few weeks.
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Dobson x
