Laura & Stuart’s Wedding at Bartley Lodge Hotel
Laura and Stuart got married at Bartley Lodge hotel in Cadnam back in March. Here is a selection of highlights from their celebrations at the New Forest hotel, on a very rainy day. Laura claims to never smile, so its nice to go through the photos and see how that is a blatant lie as she’s clearly having a smily, happy wedding day! Congratulations again Laura & Stuart!

Helen & Nick’s Wedding at Winslowe House
Spring is here (apparently) and it feels like this weekend was the start of wedding season proper. I spent an enjoyable day at Nick and Helen’s wedding at Winslowe House, hidden away in West End, Southampton. With an early ceremony, they packed in a full on celebration, with a yummy hog roast meal and a fantastic band for the evening dancing, and still managed to head off at 9.30pm. It was actually really nice to see them off, and have a proper big end to the day, something that doesn’t happen so much at weddings now.

Natasha & Peter Hayling Island Engagement Photos
Natasha & Peter are getting married in a few weeks on Hayling Island. We met there today for a pre-wedding portrait session on the beach, for a bit of a trial run before the big day. The beach huts provided a colourful backdrop for some fun photos, and the love shack- what a find! We brought some props along for a bit of a beach theme, and I think these made for some quirky photos. Thanks to Natasha and Peter for being great sports and being relaxed and cheerful in front of the camera. I’m really looking forward to our next session on their wedding day where we can build on some of the things we’ve tried to today.
Nick & Helen’s Pre-Wedding Photos at Winslowe House
Today I met up with Helen and Nick who are getting married soon at Winslowe House in Southampton. I include a pre-wedding photo shoot with my wedding photography as it gives the couples a first taste of being in front of the camera, and me a chance to see how they are with being photographed. Today was a great example: I learned that on their wedding day I will have to look out for Helen blinking ALOT and for Nick to pull that face…

Newborn Baby Photography: Introducing Baby Wass
Congratulations to Rob & Debbie, my brother-in-law and his wife, on the birth of Liam Wass. Born on Friday 19th February at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, this big bruiser weighed in at 10lb 10 ozs! Here are some photos of him at just over 24 hours old (is that 1 day old, or 2 days old?? ), just before leaving hospital.
Shona & Ben’s London Wedding
Ben and Shona invited Jeff and I to their 30th birthday party in London at the weekend. We didn’t twig Ben’s birthday isn’t in December until we got the second secret invite- they were getting married that day and they had a favour to ask. The wedding was held at Islington Town Hall, an intimate ceremony with just close family present. After the nuptials everyone headed into Farringdon to the basement wine bar Vivat Bacchus for fizz and speeches before sitting down for the meal. It was nice to return in the evening minus camera and enjoy the evening with friends, when Mr & Mrs Murray revealed what they’d been up to for the day.
