Robin’s facebook statuses over the past year or so have been pretty much entirely focussed on one subject: Beautiful, wonderful, sweet, funny Becky. So it was lovely to finally meet the lady who has turned him into a complete soppy romantic. They get married in a few weeks down in Dorset, but we met up in a field near Winchester for their pre-wedding portraits amongst the flowers. Looking forward to the big day, luckily I get to see a daily countdown on Facebook…

Sarah and Tim were married at the elegant Hotel Du Vin in Winchester on one of the first sunny Spring weekends of the year. They planned an intimate celebration on the wedding day with close friends and family, and held another big party a few weeks later. The Hotel Du Vin was a perfect setting, with its quirky interior, and reputation for good foods and wines, and they had decorated the tables with dusky pink and cream flowers and Parisian themed decor. Located right in the centre of Winchester, we were able to explore some back streets of the historic city for the bride and groom’s portraits. It was a really relaxed day with drinks in the sunshine and Sarah and Time both just smiled non-stop all day. Here are some highlights from their Winchester wedding…

Adriana and Liam were married at Highfield Church in Southampton on a wet Saturday in February. It was a lovely personal service, with prayers, readings and musical accompaniment from their friends and family during the service. After they were married everyone had tea and cake in the church before heading off to Romsey for the reception at Annie’s Tearooms in Kimbridge. The quaint restaurant and teashop was a cosy setting for drinks and dinner, decorated with pretty bunting and teapot table centres. After the funny and teary speeches, the tables were cleared aside and they celebrated into the evening with a Ceilidh. Here are some photos from their day…

Alison & Liam had a 50′s style rock n roll wedding at Botley Hill Farmhouse in Surrey. They are such a fun couple together, and they planned a wedding that was reflective of their personalities and alternative style. Alison was Marilyn Monroe’s cooler tattooed lookalike in her 50′s rockabilly wedding dress, accented with red dotty shoes and beads. Liam wore a mod style suit with a red gingham shirt and slick black waistcoat and tie.
The warm and personal ceremony was held at Croydon Town Hall with just close friends and family. The couple left in a vintage VW campervan, and we stopped en route for some portraits in the lovely afternoon sun. Arriving at Botley Hill Farmhouse, more guests were waiting to greet the newlyweds. The marquee in the pub garden was decorated with the rockabilly theme, with tables named after places along Route 66. Liam made an awesome replica gas pump which doubled as a card postbox. They had black and red cupcakes, with a day of the dead style skeleton cake topper. The table settings and favours were pin badges made with their own designs. After the wedding breakfast there were speeches by a whole host of friends and family, all with something funny but also something heartfelt to say to the happy couple. More guests arrived for the evening’s celebrations, and danced into the night with a disco of alternative classics (a refreshing change from Rihanna for someone who goes to too many wedding discos!) It was an absolute pleasure to be there for the wedding of two fun & happy people, so very meant for each other- congrats Liam & Alison! Here are some photos of their day…

A mix of photojournalism and creative portraiture
Your wedding will be a whole day of fun, romantic, and memorable moments shared with the people you love. I’m there to capture those memories forever, giving you beautiful, natural images to treasure. Reportage, Photojournalism, candid, whatever you want to call it. I shoot to tell the story, from the emotions of the ceremony, the details of your table decorations to your Auntie rocking out on the dancefloor.
Most of your day will be undirected, real photography, but I also like to take a little time to get some relaxed and creative portraits of the happy couple. This doesn’t mean cheesy grins and catwalk poses, just some great natural photos of you both, being together, being you.
If you wish to have any formal group photos I try to keep these short and sweet so they don’t take up your day. Your wedding photography is as much about the experience on the day as it is about the finished result. I aim to work in a relaxed, informal and unobtrusive manner, mingling in with your guests, making you feel at ease and most importantly letting you get on with enjoying your celebration.
