Carrie & Terry’s Christmas Wedding at Rhinefield House
Happy New Year! Just before Christmas I photographed Carrie & Terry’s wedding at Rhinefield House in the New Forest. It was my last wedding of 2009 and gladly continued my run of no rainy weddings for the whole year! (am I a lucky omen?) While the rest of the country was blanketed under snow, it was one of those sunny, crisp and cold winters days on the South Coast. Rhinefield is one of those venue’s thats great in summer or winter, and it is certainly a cosy setting with the christmas trees, wood burning fires and chandeliers.
The wedding was of course festive themed. During the ceremony the congregation sang Rudolf the Rednosed reindeer, and the tables were named after Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Dixon (and Bernard?) The table centrepieces were mini-christmas trees and the place names written on colourful baubles.
Everyone was in good spirits and Carrie & Terry are a very easy going couple and it certainly felt like they are going to have a happy life together.
Here’s some sneak previews of their wedding photos (an extended post as they’ve had to wait until the after Christmas break!) The full gallery will be up for friends and family by the end of the week. Many Congratulations Mr & Mrs Whittaker!

Gemma & Jon’s Wedding at Rhinefield House
Gemma & Jonathan got married on a very blustery day in the New Forest. Rhinefield House was finely decorated with a rich autumnal theme and Gemma brightened things up in a gorgeous red wedding dress. I thought I my unbroken ‘no rain’ record for 2009 would surely be over, but the wind proved to be more of a problem. Think Gemma lost her veil at least 3 times while we went out for a brief photo session. I hear the blown-to-bits look is in for winter 2009 brides
Back indoors, it was a warm and relaxed wedding with some lovely people and memorable moments.
Here’s some sneak previews of their wedding photos. The full gallery is now online for friends and family and is passworded with the bride’s maiden name.
Gemma & Jon, many congratulations and I hope you have a wonderful life together!

I’m sure the photos of me running round like an idiot trying to catch the veil were funnier but sadly I was the only one with the camera

Carrie & Terry: Pre-wedding portraits at Rhinefield House
Carrie & Terry are having a Christmas wedding at Rhinefield House in the New Forest. We caught up in warmer weather to go through the plans for their day, and got a few photos in Rhinefield’s gardens. Looking forward to the wedding in December…

Kerrie & Rod’s Rhinefield House Wedding
Kerrie & Rod held an intimate wedding in the grandiouse setting of Rhinefield House in the New Forest. I joined Kerrie and the girls as they got ready in the bridal suite, the bride and her bridesmaids in elegant black and ivory. Kerrie just about held it together as she walked down the aisle and they married in a sweet and simple civil ceremony. An autumnal breeze blew through the ornamental gardens but we managed to avoid the occasional downpours for some photographs in the beautiful grounds, before they sat down for the wedding breakfast. Best man of the year award goes to Rod’s son Matthew, who at 12 years old, delivered a funny and heartfelt speech and there were few dry eyes in the room.

Kerrie & Rod- Many congratulations and may you have a long and happy marriage!

More to come very soon….
Sarah & Dan’s Wedding at Careys Manor, Brockenhurst
Dan & Sarah got married at Careys Manor in the New Forest on Sunday. Planning a wedding on a bank holiday, one should almost expect bad weather, but the rain stayed away and although it wasn’t a bright sunny summers day they might have hoped for, it was still great for photos in the lovely gardens. Anyway clouds make better photos than direct sunlight :) Also meant we avoided the usual New Forest traffic jams as we raced across town from a morning of champagne and hair curlers at Sarah’s mums. The ceremony was sweet and simple and everyone sat down to some awesome looking food before getting on down to the disco.
Here are some sneak previews of their wedding photos. The full gallery is now online at www.amywass.photoreflect.com and is password protected for friends and family with the bride’s maiden name.
Sarah and Dan, Many congratulations on your wedding and my very best wishes for your future marriage!

A bit of fun with their drinks of choice- Pimms and Corona.
