Sneak Peek: Suzie & Mark’s Brighton wedding at Hotel Du Vin
Suzie and Mark got married at the very cool Hotel Du Vin in Brighton, on 10.10.10. Brighton beach was absolutely heaving as what seemed like everyone in East Sussex hit the promenade on this beautiful October day. The bride and groom braved the attention of the crowds and we went down to the beach for some photos, where we found this boat which just had to be done, with the initial SM. Sneak Peek: Welcome to a new Mrs Wass
Congratulations to my little brother-in-law Dave and commiserations to his new wife Marie who got married on Friday. A life of being called Mrs Wazz, Waff, Wasp, Vass, Waas, Was and Watts awaits you (by the way, if you ever wondered its Wass, rhymes with Moss)

Lesley & Sam’s Wedding at Highcliffe Castle and Sopley Mill
Lesley and Sam got married at Highcliffe Castle, a gorgeous venue near Christchurch overlooking the sea. They had a unique wedding ceremony which was very personal to them. As guests found their seats they played some rather appropriate, but certainly not your usual wedding music, such as Eye of the Tiger and The Final Countdown to psyche everyone up for the big event. During the ceremony they had readings written by Dr Seuss and Edward Monkton (The Love dinosaurs), which were again not your usual wedding readings, but very appropriate.
After the wedding ceremony, the happy couple and I headed down the cliffs to the beach for some romantic photos by the sea. Highcliffe beach is a special place for Sam & Lesley as that is where he proposed to her. For me, this is where I shot my first wedding so it was kind of nice to me to go back and feel like I knew what I was doing this time! The weather wasn’t perfect, but I loved running around on the sandy beach barefoot. After hiking back up to the Castle for some photos by that huge doorway we rejoined the guests at Sopley Mill for a BBQ and celebrations.
It was definitely one of my favourite weddings with a very sweet and fun couple, lots of cool little touches and with lots of familiar faces from Nicky and Allan’s wedding last year, so I felt very welcome and really enjoyed the day. Mark & Suzie: Engagement Photos on Brighton Beach
I love Brighton and it was brilliant to get down the coast and meet up with Mark and Suzie for their engagement photos on the beach and iconic Brighton pier. As a photographer I love the locations on offer in Brighton, from the funky lanes of quirky, alternative shops, interesting buildings and graffiti walls, the surreal pavilion and the beach and pier with the kitsch seaside feel. Suzie and Mark are getting married at the Hotel Du Vin in Brighton, a modern boutique hotel tucked away just off the famous seafront promenade. Think they did pretty well in front of the camera, we had a fun little stroll, and hoping we can get back down to the beach for their wedding photos in October.

Its late but I had to share one sneak preview from Sam and Lesley’s wedding at Highcliffe Castle today. So pleased the rain held off and we were able to get down to the beach for some photos, its gorgeous there! Natasha & Peter’s Wedding Photos on Hayling Beach
Natasha and Peter did things a bit differently for their wedding photos. Putting aside the tradition of the bride not seeing the groom before the wedding, we met up in the morning for their wedding portraits. As a photographer this was a bit of a treat as I rarely get to spend so much time on the bride and groom photos. It also meant we were able to hit the beach and the colourful beach huts, before they went off to get married elsewhere. We went back to Hayling Island, where we had shot some pre-wedding portraits on a reconnaissance mission a few weeks ago. The sun was out and we had bright blue skies, it was a gorgeous day on the beach. Natasha and Peter are a really fun couple and you could feel the excitement they shared for their wedding in a few hours, and hopefully that shows in these photos.
