Earlier this year I attended Focus on Imaging at Birmingham NEC, the largest photographic trade show in the UK. This is the best place to see a wide variety of different suppliers and have a hands on touch and feel of their products. My primary mission was to scout out my album offerings for the coming year and I’m pleased to have found some great new suppliers to add to those I want to continue with.
Shopping for your business is different to shopping for yourself. You can’t simply go by your own taste, so I was looking for a selection of different types of album so my clients have a good choice. The product is the first and most important thing I was looking for- modern books and albums which make the most of the photos, with excellent quality and finish. Service is important, I’ve been stung before with long delivery times and poor service and if I’m let down by my suppliers that reflects badly on my business. Then of course price- certainly not what it should all be about, but I want be able to offer a range of options to suit different budgets and be able to offer good value without compromising on quality.
So, decisions made I am pleased to show off some of my new sample albums today.
First up is the Storybook Flushmount album, featuring Jo & Graham’s gorgeous summer wedding at Mottisfont Abbey.
The 10×14” size is substantial but still easy to handle. These books are also available in 12×12 square.
The album has a square spine for a sleek, more modern finish. This album has 40 pages, which is a good size for most weddings.
Every page from front to back will open up and lay flat.
This allows photos to be laid out in full page spreads and photos can print right across the centre fold with no loss into the spine.
Layouts are ‘magazine style’ which allows a mixture of full page prints and smaller photos perfect for a ‘storytelling’ style of album including all your little details.
This Sample has an Acrylic cover, which makes the photographic print on the front really stand out.
A Faux Leather cover with embossed names, a photographic printed cover and a brushed metal style cover are also available.
The Pages are lustre photographic paper, mounted on card. These are printed by one of the UKs top professional photo labs.
The album is presented in a velvet lined presentation box which will keep it safe for many years to come.
Unlike many other albums manufacturers who make this sort of album, these are produced in the UK and should be in your hands within 2 weeks of confirming to print.
