Manor Barn Wedding: Katy & Tim’s Country Wedding in Hampshire

Katy and Tim were married at St Andrew’s Church in Meonstoke, a lovely country church with a special history for Katy’s family. She got ready in nearby Wickham, assisted by the team from Creatiques who did a fabulous job on hair and makeup and getting her into the amazing Justin Alexander dress. The bridesmaids wore gold which coordinated beautifully with the dusky pinks, olive greens and purples in the flowers. We dodged the showers arriving at the church, where Tim and his groomsmen greeted family and friends walking up the country lane to the church. The bride arrived in an open top vintage car and was ushered in to her waiting groom. It was an emotional ceremony and there was a point during prayers when the heavens opened and the sound of rain was so loud in the hushed church it was quite special. The rain meant we rushed straight on to the reception at the Manor Barn in Buriton and everyone enjoyed mojitos inside the beautiful barn, lit by twinkling fairy lights. Katy described her theme as ‘country casual’ with lots of raffia, green herbs and flowers in jam jars. They had a quirky wonky cake, and a sweetie bar. Guests were asked to add their thumb prints to a tree, instead of a traditional guest book they wrote wedding messages on luggage tags left on their tables. The rain stopped during the dinner so we popped outside for some photos around the barn and Buriton duck pond. In the evening everyone tucked into a hog roast and danced to the DJ. Here are some photos from the wedding.
