One of the main reasons for getting married abroad is to have your wedding in an amazing location, whether its a beach in the tropics, a vineyard in Tuscany or a chic city break. Add the climate, the food, the wine and the culture and your wedding abroad will be a unique and memorable occasion.

With all that gorgeousness going on you don’t have to compromise on your wedding photography- just take your wedding photographer with you!

For 2011 I am offering Destination Wedding Photography packages at a special price of £1000 plus expenses.

You get the reassurance of a professional UK based photographer, someone who you can deal with before and after the wedding as well as on the day. You get professionally finished images on disc and a wedding book to tell the story of your day. As well as full coverage of your whole wedding day I’ll cover any celebrations happening the night before, and offer a more relaxed Day After portrait session for you to make the most of your location.

You pay my discounted photography fee, plus the cost of flights and hotel accommodation for a minimum 3 nights. Just email me today and we’ll start planning your amazing wedding abroad.

    After the Wedding

Photographing the actual wedding day is only a small part of all the work that goes into delivering your final pictures. So while you are enjoying your honeymoon I will be downloading, backing up, sorting, selecting, colour correcting, cropping, sharpening and photoshopping away, so approximately 3 weeks after the wedding you will recieve your disc of fully edited photos.

If you can’t wait that long I will blog some selections a few days after the wedding, so you can have a little reminder of that whirlwind day. Once you have your disc I will also open up the full online gallery so your friends and family can have a look at all of your photos, from wherever they are, and they can order prints aswell.

Next comes your album design. While I am editing I will also be designing a layout that will feature the best photos and key moments to tell the story of your wedding day in a clean and contemporary layout with a logical flow. With the modern layouts of all my album offerings it is important to allow some artistic license to create the design so I will design the first draft of your album layout and present this to you as a starter.  It’s not that I want to dictate your album choices for you, just that I’ve found through experience that is what works best. Otherwise  normal life takes over and couples can take many months to make their album choices, they will usually be overwhelmed by it, and it usually results in more a difficult design because the couple arent usually thinking about the complete picture when they pick and mix their photo choices. Hopefully you’ll be blown away with the initial design and off it will go to print, but this is the stage where you can add, remove, and swap photos and say if you just dont like this and that page design.

Once you have approved the design I send the files off to print. Turnaround times vary between 7 days and 5 weeks depending on your album choice. If you stick with the One package Wedding Book, this is printed in the UK and should be in your hands in approximately 10 days.

Any duplicate parent books must be ordered at the same time as your main album, otherwise extra charges may apply. You may also want to order photographic thank you cards, canvas wall art or framed prints- these can be added anytime after the wedding.

So, album in hand, that’s where we part, but its nice to hear back from you and see how you are getting along, so keep in touch. I hope you will be extremely pleased with your wedding photography and will happily recommend me to you friends and family. Most of all I hope that you look back at your photos in 50 years time and they bring back many amazing memories of your special day.

Suzie & Sammie’s Wedding at Chilworth Manor

    Congratulations Dr and Mrs Chan!

My second Christmas wedding and another great day (plus it got me out of seeing the inlaws!) Tis the season for families and frivolity so what better time of year for wedding celebrations. Guests flew in from as far as Hong Kong for Suzie and Sammie’s Christmas wedding at Chilworth Manor, Hampshire. It was a lovely winters day and Chilworth Manor was looking very festive.

They introduced some traditional chinese touches to their wedding, with a Tea ceremony in which the bride serves tea to her new family and they present her with jewellery and gifts. In the evening the chinese guests set up Mahjong tables while the english followed their usual traditions of making idiots of themselves on the dancefloor :) Again, a really lovely bunch of people and I owe many thanks to best man Zeshan and uncle Brian who did an amazing job gathering people for the group photos.

Suzie and Sammie were so sweet together and I’m sure will live happily ever after.  I wish you all the very best for the future.

Laura & Jason’s Christmas Wedding at Rhinefield House

    Congratulations Mr and Mrs Denman!

While most people were eating leftovers, nursing a hangover and watching the Great Escape, Laura & Jason’s families spent Boxing Day celebrating in style. Rhinefield House is a stunning venue at any time of the year and was perfect for Laura and Jason’s Christmas wedding.  The Grand Hall at Rhinefield was beautifully decorated with a huge Christmas tree, and was a grand but cosy setting for their ceremony and reception. The whole wedding had a wonderful festive theme, with crackers on the tables, gorgeous wintery flowers and the bridesmaids dressed in green and red (the ’Hollies’ and the ‘Berries’) Everyone was in a great festive spirits and made me feel very welcome.

It was a beautiful winters day and Laura was determined to get outside for some photos in the sunshine, I think braving the chilly weather was worth it as the grounds are so nice too.

Here are some sneak previews of their wedding photographs. The full gallery is now online to view- CLICK HERE TO BE TRANSFERRED TO THE ONLINE GALLERY

Laura and Jason, I hope you had a very merry christmas and have a wonderful life together.
